Sorry about the downtime!

Oh man, being a webmaster sure is hard work! Turns out the website has been down for god knows how long without me noticing. What happened was, my old domain registrar had a free privacy feature that let you mask your identity. Neat! It would appear this was basically done by filling in random stuff into the contact info section. I would be surprised if this doesn’t violate a ToS somewhere.

Anyway, it would appear this contact info just stayed there after switching to my current registar. They have apparently been sending me emails to confirm my contact info… to the imaginary email address the previous registrar had set filled in. I didn’t realise anything was wrong before I went to check the guestbook. After a few days of bureaucracy, we were finally able to correct the contact information and get the site back online.

I hope I didn’t make you worry. These are the things that can happen with a web apprentice poses as a webmaster.
